Recent Outbreak

The Most recent outbreak was in 2010. When a earthquake hit Haiti and left it with a poor water system to clean their water. After that, people in Haiti started to show up with cholera.  The country is now paying millions of to help clean their waters and help decrease the number of people with the bacteria. They also realized that cholera could have showed up because Haiti doesn't have a sewer system. Years later the people Haiti think that the bacteria showed up because ether it was form a tourist or that UN brought cholera to the country. Haiti is now trying to sue UN for bring the bacteria to their land. The staff of staff talked Jonathan Katz and he said "As long as people to drink water that is infected, Cholera is going to be a major problem."
